Common Questions

How does drive tracking work?

In CarPlay mode, Mileon uses iOS Shortcuts automations to start and stop recording when you connect to or disconnect from CarPlay. Set this up during onboarding or in the iOS Shortcuts app.

I drive a Tesla. Can I use Mileon?

Yes. Tesla has no CarPlay, so choose Tesla mode during onboarding or in Settings and connect your Tessie account. Generate an access token in Tessie's developer settings, paste it into Mileon, and pick your vehicle. Mileon then imports finished drives from Tessie when you open the app and periodically in the background. A Tessie subscription is required.

Why does the app need "Always" location access?

"Always" access lets Mileon record your location in the background while you drive. Without it, tracking stops when you switch apps. You can use "While Using the App" if you prefer to keep the app open during drives.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your device and nothing is sent to us. In Tesla mode, the app talks directly to Tessie to fetch your drives. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I export my drives?

Use the export feature (available with Pro Export) to generate a CSV file of your drives. You can customize which columns to include.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual drives within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all data.
